Jammu |  Jan 23: Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek President and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today  asked the Hurriyat leaders to understand that dialogue is the only way out to resolve Kashmir issue.

He said his party will always advocate balanced and equitable development of all three regions as it strengthens the bonds of unity and integrity of the State which is the need of the hour. Cautioning the people about the communal and divisive forces in the state, Vakil said in a statement issued here.

He said Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have to stay together and people should understand the designs of such forces and strengthen secularism, unity and integrity of the state.

Mr. Vakil described the political situation in general in the State as quiet fluid where good governance, transparency and accountability are missing from the scene and in particular the administration at the District level is behaving like a mute spectator rather than coming forward for addressing the grievances of the common masses”.

The former minister called upon all the mainstream political parties to put up a joint fight against increasing institutional denigration and unrest in Kashmir collapsing fast tourism, agriculture, horticulture, trade, business and economy. Saying that attempts of repeated intervention from unconcerned quarters in the working of vital public institutions connected with the delivery of justice, accountability and public services is posing severe threats to the democratic and secular fabric of the state.

Vakil called upon all the mainstream political parties to rise above the levels of party affiliations to work for the restoration of the sanctity of public institutions necessary for restoring the faith of people in these institutions.

Vakil said political chaos in the country prolonging the current phase of unrest in Kashmir has shattered the economy of Jammu and Kashmir particularly agriculture, horticulture, tourism, trade and education.

Restoration of faith in the sanctity of public institutions would bring back Kashmir valley from the continuing phase of unrest if the efforts are supplemented with a serious dialogue with all stake holders especially Hurriyat Conference in the state and Hurriyat Conference should also understand that Dialogue is the only way out to resolve Kashmir issue Vakil added.
